break

Air

Now we will take a break from those systems. We will learn about air. What is air? Air is a mixture of nitrogen (78.09%), carbon-dioxide (0.03%), oxygen (20.95%), argon (0.93%), others (0.003%). The main thing we need in air is this kind of gas called oxygen. If we kill a lot of plants and produce lot of carbon-dioxide, we, the humans will soon die. The earth is the only place that there seems to be oxygen. There’s not yet found that there is air, or they haven’t found oxygen in any other planet. But maybe there really is oxygen in other planets. And that is a question. Plants breathe in carbon-dioxide which is the trash from human that’s made from processing food into white liquid which is energy. Oxygen is a type of gas that we breathe in. We breathe in oxygen about every second or more. But how does the oxygen come in to your body? First oxygen comes to your body from your nose or mouth. This the first stage in an order for air to come in. Then the oxygen goes to the lung then air sacks. From the air sacks the oxygen goes to the capillaries. And the last, blood delivers oxygen to every cell in your body and that means the blood takes the oxygen a trip around your body. So if you can, exercise a lot and breathe in a nice clean country air. Don’t forget to breathe in oxygen too!

Fatty Foods

Info
Fatty Foods
Why do you think that moms always say, “Just eat little candies! Don’t eat a lot of fatty foods!” I think those NO talks makes you feel little sad. But have you ever wondered why they are saying that to you? Do you think that your parents are giving you bad foods? I don’t think so. Your parents have this responsibility to take a good care of you until you are an adult. But why are fatty foods bad for you? Because those foods clog to your heart. And that makes your heart hard pump blood to your body. If there is a lot of fatty foods clog to your heart, which can make heart attack. And the fat goes in to your food system in your body, you can die. Fatty Foods are really bad for you!! Eating fatty foods when you are young is okay but when you are older eating fatty foods are bad. That is the time when the fat clogs to your heart, from that stage. And if you eat fatty foods from when you are young, that gives you the habit to keep doing the same thing. I think you are wondering what is fatty food. Fatty food is fried food. Fried food is like a food that went to the fried pan or oil.

tips
What is good for your heart?
Now this is the time for what is good for your heart! Today we are going to learn about salmon. Salmon can effectively reduce blood pressure and keep clotting at bay. Lower your blood pressure and reduce your risk of dying from a heart attack. But choose wild salmon over farm-raised fish, which can be packed with insecticides, pesticides, and heavy metals. Not a fan of salmon/ other oily fish like mackerel, tuna, herring, will give your heart the same boost.

The Heart ( 2010, Feb 18)

Info
                                 The Heart

This time now
we’re really going to give out information. You will learn about heart. The heart is the strongest muscle in your body. The job for your heart is to pump blood. The heart is about the size about your fist. The heart has four chambers. The names of those chambers are right atrium, left atrium, right ventricle, left ventricle. The chambers are like the rooms of the heart. Because the heart is used for pumping blood, the heart needs a room to keep blood to pump. Some mothers say not to eat a lot of fatty food. If you eat fatty food or fried food that fat sticks on to the heart. Then the heart has to have more and more power to pump blood, and that casts Heart Attack. Also if that fat goes out with blood! Oh no! I don’t want to even think about that happening. The heart is a very important muscle in your human body.

Fun Facts.

What makes your heart healthy?

Now this is time for other important, small, nice tips. What is healthy for your heart? You can also make your heart healthy by how you eat your breakfast. What do you eat for your breakfast? Do you eat a piece of a brownie or all kinds of nice healthy food? But at least this food is better than all sugary cereal. You can eat oatmeal. Now start your day with a steaming (or not,) oatmeal! Oatmeal has a lot of good nutrients for your heart. I call oatmeal the SUPER FOOD. Oatmeal is full of omega-3 fatty acids, foliate, and potassium. This fiber-rich super food can help keep arteries clear. To eat your bowl full of oatmeals with nice fresh 4 gram of other fiber- rich fruits. Umm~ I feel I want to eat!!
